June 1, 2018

Dear Cromwell Community,

The school year is at an end and we hope our students are feeling proud of their accomplishments and looking forward to a fun and restful summer.  The last day for students will be June 15, 2018. As we look ahead to the 2018-19 school year, please know that your feedback is important and appreciated.

Celebrating Our Graduating Seniors

The graduation of our Cromwell High School seniors is a celebratory and integral milestone for our community. This event will take place on June 15, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. at Cromwell High School.  Our seniors have worked hard to achieve this accomplishment and represent the support given to them by family, teachers, friends and our entire Cromwell community during their academic years.  On behalf of our 2018 Graduating Seniors I would like to extend our appreciation for your steadfast guidance, support, patience, and love throughout these crucial years.

Our second annual Senior Walk will be held on June 7th starting at 9:00 a.m.  Our seniors, wearing their caps and gowns, will walk through the Cromwell Middle School, then Woodside Intermediate School and finally, Edna C. Stevens School.  The other students will be seated in the hallways to recognize these students and cheer them on towards graduation.  It will be a tremendous opportunity for the staff and teachers who worked with the seniors throughout their schooling to wish them well.  Please check out the district and high school websites for photos from the event.

The district is launching our Student-Teacher Achievement Resources Service (STARS) program which will provide summer tutoring assistance in the area of mathematics for students entering grades 5-10.  Our Cromwell teachers will provide the tutoring which will be personalized to meet the individual needs of the learner.  In addition, the learner and teacher can work through a blended approach, using Google Meet and Classroom, supporting flexibility in schedules and enabling students to work remotely.

Those interested in applying for tutoring through our STARS program should contact Krista Karch, Assistant Superintendent at
