December 1, 2018
Dear Cromwell Community,
As we move into the holiday season, we are taking time within the district to be reflective of the many accomplishments that occurred in 2018. Our staff, students, and district as a whole have grown exponentially and there is a sense of pride and satisfaction emerging that comes from perseverance and seeing positive results which stem from hard work. Our commitment to fostering teaching and learning practices that promote both academic and social-emotional well-being remains steadfast as we launch into 2019 and are optimistic about continued success.
In addition to focusing on achievement, climate and culture remains on the forefront for us as we work within our schools and across our community to promote the goals outlined in the fifth competency of the Cromwell Public School’s Strategic Framework outlined below:
Climate and Culture
- Build a positive, supportive culture of trust, respect, and accountability that is based
on collaboration and strong relationships to improve school and district performance
- Strengthen our understanding of social and emotional well-being in order to develop
a culture of high expectations for every student and staff member that is based on our
foundational beliefs and strategic competencies
- Provide avenues for clear and open communication where input and feedback from
students, staff, parents, and community is valued
Accomplishing the aforementioned objectives will require input and support from many which will only strengthen and unify us for the betterment of all. Opportunities for involvement will be forthcoming and I look forward to collaborating on this important initiative.
