The 11th annual event will go off at 8:30am on May 22, 2021. Runners should plan to arrive at 8:00am. Many extra precautions will be taken this year due to Covid restrictions. Come and support the Cromwell Cross Country team. We are happy to be able to bring back this event this year, even with the extra limitations Please read carefully so that you understand all of the modifications to the event.

Online registration will be open through midnight on May 14th. A special discount of 20% off registration this year for families of 4 or more who register online. It will be applied automatically during the process if you register 4 or more family members all at once. If registration numbers require it, we will run a second wave starting at 10:00am. Masks will be required for everyone at ALL TIMES except when running. The race course will be the same as the high school cross country team's 5K course. The course is great for both viewing and running fast times. It is a 2 loop grass/trail course, with only a 75 foot elevation, and an on track finish. There will be no water stations provided so runners should bring their own water to the event.

There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION this year to protect social distancing so you must register online. No registrations will be accepted on race day. Online Registration will be $10 for teachers and students and $15 for all others. There will also be a VIRTUAL category for runners that are not comfortable running with others yet and they will be able to submit their 5K course times to compete against other virtual runners. Unfortunately, there will be no event T-shirts this year to prevent people gathering to collect them. There will also be no medals or award ceremony this year so we can keep everyone safe. Our DJ will be there playing music throughout the event. We hope to be able to bring all of the regular procedures back again next year.

This event is hosted by the Cromwell Cross Country teams and was created to give the students and teachers of Cromwell Public Schools, as well as the community, a chance to show their physical skills while promoting healthy physical activity for both children and adults. All of the proceeds from this race go directly to the Cromwell High School boys and girls cross country teams. The event was created by the Cromwell High School Cross Country coaches, and hopes to provide both funding and awareness to the cross country teams.

Please be aware that there will be no parking at the high school on the day of the event. The main parking for the event will be at Edna C. Stevens school with overflow at Woodside Intermediate School. Check out the parking section for more information about event parking.

Race bibs will be mailed out after you register online. Be sure to bring your bib with you on race day as it will be required for scoring your time. If you register multiple people, all of those bibs will be mailed together to the same address. Results will be posted online soon after the race concludes and will be posted on our website as soon after the race as possible. There will be no awards at the event to prevent large groups gathering.
