CMS Building Project Update Letter

CMS Building Project Update Letter

November 3, 2023

Dear Cromwell Community Members,

As many of you know, the Cromwell Middle School Building Project is now underway. Project site work began at the end of October to prepare the area for the ground breaking, which is scheduled to start in January. Construction activities that are currently happening include; tree clearing to accommodate the creation of a pedestrian sidewalk, relocation of a water line, construction of a temporary trailer pad, moving the soccer field fence line along with various other on-site work preparations. We are very excited; the building of our new middle school is coming to fruition!

Unfortunately, along with the construction will come certain delays and extra traffic. For those families who either live on or near Geer Street and for those who drop off and/or pick up their children at CMS and/or WIS, please note, there will be extra traffic on Geer Street, specifically at Herbert Porter Road (Watrous Park entrance). This will be the construction site entrance and exit for the entirety of the project. Please plan accordingly due to the expected high volume of extra activity in the area.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this upcoming traffic issue may cause, but it will be worth it for the construction of our beautiful new middle school, which we so desperately need.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

 Enza Macri, Ed.D.
